The vocabulary of Geometry:
Inductive Reasoning: a type of reasoning that allows you to reach conclusions based on a pattern of specific examples or past events.
Conjecture: A conclusion reached by using inductive reasoning. (an educated guess or hypotheses)
Justify: To use facts, definitions, rules, and/or previously proven conjectures in an organized sequence that convinces your audience that what you claim is valid (true).
Point: refers to a location. A point is represented by a small dot and is named by a capital letter. All geometric figures are made up of points.
Space: The set of all points.
Line: a series of points that extends in two opposite directions without end. You can name a line by two points on the line, such as AB or with a single lowercase letter, such as line t.
Plane: a flat surface that extends in all directions without end. It has no thickness. You can name a plane either by a single capital letter or by naming at least three noncollinear points in the plane.
Collinear: points that lie on the same line.
Coplanar: points and lines in the same plane.
